  • RJR Foods Inc. is releasing some supervisors from Duluth's Chun King plant and is undertaking a study to determine the feasibility of operating a manufacturing plant in Duluth. RJR Foods acquired the Duluth Chun King plant in 1966 from Jeno F. Paulucci.
  • The Upper Great Lakes Regional Commission has approved funding for a feasibility study of a bi-state port authority for Duluth and Superior, it was announced yesterday. The goal is a better-managed port and an increase in foreign and domestic trade. News Tribune, March 9, 1993

  • Reach All Inc. of Duluth is working with San Francisco-based Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to develop a machine with robotic arms to work on overhead power lines. The device will be the first of its kind in the United States.
