* Gov. Wendell Anderson said yesterday he will visit taconite waste disposal sites in northern Minnesota for potential use by Reserve Mining Co. Anderson said he will depend heavily on technical information from state agencies before approving a site.
* The Bicentennial Commission of Duluth learned yesterday that a special charter flight from Sweden will visit the city in summer 1976. The 225-person party from Gothenburg will attend the Bicentennial Swedish Midsummer Festival scheduled here for June 1976.

* Last November, a storm’s waves tossed football-sized rocks 70 feet past Duluth’s Lakewalk boardwalk and damaged the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. For now, the city will make temporary repairs to prepare the Lakewalk for the opening of tourist season.
* The Duluth East boys basketball team last night defeated the Duluth Central Trojans 58-43 in the Section 7AA championship at UMD’s Romano Gym. East’s Andy Strommen made nine of 11 field goals and seven of eight free throws.
