  • Hibbing attorney Barney Bischoff yesterday regained his seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives, defeating Rep. Loren Rutter of Kinney in a special election. Bischoff had been removed from his District 63 seat in February after charges of illegal campaigning.
  • The Duluth Board of Education last night approved a resolution shifting the boundary between East and Central high schools eastward to 19th Avenue East. The change is expected to move about 100 current East students into the Central district. News Tribune
