* A Minnesota House Appropriations subcommittee yesterday asked the Seaway Port Authority of Duluth for more details on a request for $200,000 for  promotions. C. Thomas Burke, port authority director, testified the money is needed to develop marine commerce for the Twin Ports.
* Two of the 15 Minnesota nominations for consideration tomorrow for the National Register of Historic Places are from Northeastern Minnesota. The Greyhound Bus Depot in Hibbing and the harbor tug Edna G in Two Harbors have both been nominated.

* After stopping construction on his Hibbing pasta plant, Jeno Paulucci is looking for a place to build a frozen food factory in Montana. Representatives of Jeno’s company, Luigino’s Inc., reportedly have talked with Montana officials about opening a plant in Butte.
* Saying Voyageurs National Park should be fully open to snowmobiles, float planes, houseboats and other originally intended uses, Rep. Jim Oberstar yesterday introduced legislation to relax restrictions in the park. His bill would end the debate over motorized uses of the park.
