  • Mrs. Alice Tweed Tuohy, 88, died this week in Santa Barbara, Calif. Mrs. Tuohy, who resided in Duluth for many years, donated her former home at 2531 E. Seventh St. to the University of Minnesota Duluth, and it served as the original Tweed Art Gallery. News Tribune, June 28, 1993

  • Members of the group Laborers for Christ are in Hermantown helping construct a fellowship hall for Peace in Christ Lutheran Church. The volunteer group is made up mostly of seniors who build churches for the Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church.
