  • Jerry Music, a former Duluthian, is a member of the Smothers Brothers writing team that received a television Emmy Award this weekend. Music, who graduated from UMD, has written for the Smothers Brothers for two years. June 10, 1989

  • DFL Senate candidate Paul Wellstone pledged at a news conference at the Duluth Labor Center on London Road yesterday that he will not take any money from political action committees from outside Minnesota. Wellstone is running against Sen. Rudy Boschwitz.
