Route to Saints
Burg graduated high school from St. Cloud Cathedral, then attended Valpraraiso for two years.
He played a junior-varsity role his first year and pitched about eight innings last season. Burg expected more playing time this year, but transfered to CSS, which he considers a better athletic and academic fit.
Stats so far
Burg has a 3.55 ERA and is 5-0. His strength is his changeup and his curveball.

Off the mound
Burg, who scored a 30 on his ACT and maintains a 3.3 GPA, would like to teach history and coach someday.
