Eveleth-Gilbert Junior High School was on lockdown for three hours Friday after live ammunition was found inside the school.

According to the Gilbert Police Department, it received information that the school was in lockdown mode at 9 a.m. after three .22-caliber bullets were found. After an investigation, authorities determined the bullets were brought to school by a student who had accidentally brought them in a jacket he had worn the night before during target practice, according to Gilbert Police. Police said the matter has been resolved, and no students or staff were in danger.
