Simply happy to read Weber
I just read Larry Weber's column in the Saturday morning Budgeteer. It's my very favorite part of the paper and I never miss it.
Today I vicariously took a dawn walk with Larry and enjoyed the sounds of spring. What a treat to get out in the fresh, crisp early morn and walk along the road that takes you where the wild things come to nest and raise their young.
If your eyesight is failing, maybe your ears are still working and you hear all those strange sweet calls of lovelorn birds and frogs. Nothing seems to stop them from procreating, bless them.
So, thank you, as I sit on my sofa and read of early springtime walks while I was still sound asleep beneath my comforter.

I can close my eyes and see you now, trudging down the new day with your busy beard. Tell me, is it true a Parula warbler nests in your beard every summer? I hope so....
You're a lucky guy, Larry, and we all love you. Thank you.

Children are a blessing, not a problem
This letter is not aimed in any way at the Budgeteer. It is a challenge to the thinking of its readers.
The question is: Why all this panic over what is called overpopulation? Children are conceived only when God chooses whether the parents act honorably in marriage or sinfully outside of marriage. Not every act of intercourse conceives, nor is the child to be considered the aggressor in a bad situation. The term "illegitimate" should apply not to the child but to the wrongdoing parents.
Now, if we are overpopulated, why are we closing schools for lack of students? Why are businesses who sell children's needs and toys and other such going out of business? Why are the manufacturers of these things shutting down?
Let us look at the Europeans, who are a bit ahead of us on the anti-child business. There is not a single country producing children to replace the older dying generation. Most have brought in Muslims to fill in their industries and other needs. In turn, these immigrants have no loyalty to these European countries while also having large enough families for an eventual takeover from the natives.

Already in France, Britain and others, [I heard] sharia law has replaced control in many areas. America's population is barely holding even because of immigration, both legal and illegal.
In western countries, including ours, sex is all the rage -- but nothing about children, just perversion. May God help us.
Children are God's gift to the future, for holding families together, for practicing love and sharing, joy and happiness amid all the gloom arising out of ugly politics, greedy politicians, lawyers and CEOs.
They are the motivation for better things. May God bless and protect them and the parents who love them.
