A 40-year-old Brainerd woman died as a result of injuries suffered in an ATV crash Friday evening in Brule.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office reported Monday that Wendy Davis was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that was reported at 7:17 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office said Davis was operating the ATV on Old Highway 2 in Brule, failed to negotiate a turn and lost control of the ATV, striking a utility pole. She was not wearing a helmet.
The Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources continue to investigate the accident.
