A Bovey woman was sentenced to 48 months in prison Tuesday for attempting to rob a store in Marble with a shotgun last fall.
Katrina Lynn Thoreson, 37, pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree aggravated robbery in District Court in Itasca County on Nov. 23.
According to the criminal complaint, Thoreson entered Ron's Corner Market on Sept. 22 and pointed a 16-gauge bolt-action shotgun at a clerk's face and demanded money. During the robbery, co-owner Ron Gangl entered the store, grabbed the gun's barrel, pushed Thoreson into a corner, took the gun away from her and held it on her until law enforcement officers arrived.
A breath test indicated that Thoreson had a blood-alcohol level of 0.18 percent -- more than twice the legal limit to drive.
In addition to the prison sentence, Thoreson was ordered to provide a DNA sample and pay a $125 fine.
