Forest products company Boise Cascade Holdings LLC on Wednesday reported increased earnings but lower sales during the third quarter.
The company, which owns the Boise Cascade paper mill in International Falls, reported July-through-September net income of $34.9 million on sales of $1.5 billion. A year earlier, net income was reported at $28.5 million on sales of $1.6 billion.
Factors that affected the quarter's financial picture included wood products sales, which fell 12 percent, and paper sales, which increased7 percent.
Boise Cascade has headquarters in Boise, Idaho.
