Body of missing Virginia man found

A Virginia man missing since December was found dead in a creek on Friday.
The body of David Roger Pagel, 49, was located after a woman walking her dog found a shoe in the creek on the 900 block of Third Street South in Virginia at about 7:30 p.m., according to Virginia Police Chief Nicole Mattson. Law enforcement and the fire department arrived and recovered the body from the water. The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body as Pagel and found no signs of foul play.
Pagel was last seen at his home on Dec. 9. He left behind his dog and his medications, and didn’t appear to take anything with him when he left home on foot.
