A body was found in a vehicle that burned in Sawyer County last week.

The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office reported that it responded to a vehicle fire on Luds Lane in the Draper township on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 11:14 a.m. A 2005 Chevrolet Impala was found fully engulfed and, after it was extinguished, a body was found in the vehicle that was burned beyond recognition, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Identification of the body in the vehicle is pending and there isn't any indication of criminal activity involved in the incident, according to the Sheriff's Office.
