A deceased man was discovered in Cloquet on Friday afternoon.
According to Cloquet police, the body was discovered on the 700 block of Poplar Avenue around 2 p.m. Friday. The body was found in the snow in a semi-wooded backyard and officers determined the man was deceased at the scene, a news release said.
The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office is currently investigating the cause of death and identity of the victim. This is an ongoing investigation and no further information was available Friday night.
The Cloquet Police Department was assisted by the Fond du Lac Police Department and the Cloquet Area Fire District.
