The energetic, innovative and hard-to-define Blue Man Group will likely play the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center next year.
The group's official Website says the group will play Duluth on March 28 as part of its "How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.0." The show takes the audience through a satirical workshop on how to create the perfect rock concert experience.
"We don't have a final contract, but I can confirm we are holding the date," DECC Executive Director Dan Russell said this afternoon. "We're excited about it -- it would be their first time in Duluth."
Russell has seen the Blue Man Group in Las Vegas.
"It's a spectacular show," he said. "You never know what is coming next."

Ticket prices haven't been set yet, nor has a date for when tickets would go on sale.
"I'm sure they'll be in line with other markets," Russell said of ticket prices.
Prices at venues where tickets are already on sale generally range from $39.50 to $75 or $85.
Blue Man Group's productions combine comedy, music and multi-media effects. Their musical instruments include strings, drums, airpoles, tubes, shaker gongs, gyro shots, and gary strips. The group grew out of public appearances by three friends in the late 1980s. There are now about 60 Blue Men who rotate through the group's shows in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, Toronto, London, Amsterdam, Orlando and on tour.
