I met my husband, Michel Beaupre, at a dance in Silver Bay in August 1979. He was French Canadian and an electrician who was working in Silver Bay on the Mile Post 7 project. The song the band was playing as we first danced was "Blue eyes crying in the rain." That song became our song. We married in April 1982.
We both enjoyed dancing and at each dance we attended we'd always request that song. We danced our last dance to "Blue eyes crying in the rain" in April 2005, just a few months before Michel died from pancreatic cancer in July 2005. "When we meet again up yonder ... blue eyes crying in the rain."
