A "no water contact recommended" sign was posted today at the Park Point Beach House waterfront on Lake Superior in Duluth due to elevated levels of bacteria that could make swimmers sick if water is swallowed.

The beach tested positive for high bacteria Monday. Water at the site was retested today, and results will be available Wednesday when the sign could come down.

All other Twin Ports waterfront areas tested negative Monday for high bacteria levels, although today's rain could spike levels at some beaches.
