The City of Duluth today announced the start of the 5th Annual Bayfront Festival of Lights. The public can stroll through the tunnel of lights, enjoy the white castle and the 75,000 lights decorating the park. The lights will be lit from dusk until 10 p.m through January 6.
Along with the holiday lights, the Bayfront Park outdoor ice rink opened today. Weather permitting, the Family Center will be open and staffed daily until the end of February. Bayfront skating hours are Mondays-Fridays from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 to 8 p.m., and Sundays noon to 8 p.m. There will be special hours during school holidays. The rink will be closed on Dec. 24, 25, and Jan. 1.
The public is also invited to participate in the 7th annual Warmer By The Lake event, scheduled for Jan. 6, from 2 to 5 p.m.
