Bayfield County Sheriff's Office identifies motorcyclist who died

The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office identified the Ashland man who died in a motorcycle collision Thursday.

Keith Damon, 50, of Ashland, Wisconsin, died after an SUV collided with his motorcycle.

At approximately 1:10 p.m. Thursday, the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office, Ashland paramedics and police responded to the scene of a motorcycle collision along U.S. Highway 2 in the township of Eileen in Bayfield County, according to a news release from the Bayfield County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of a black SUV with dark-colored rims was sought for questioning about their involvement in the crash. According to Bayfield County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the SUV has been located and is cooperating with the investigation and providing details to investigators.

The investigation is still ongoing.
