A 73-year-old Barnes man was shot to death Friday afternoon.
The Bayfield County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call from Felix Mecikalski's home shortly after 5 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found Mecikalski dead in his driveway.
A 51-year-old man who lived with Mecikalski, his wife and two grown sons was arrested and is being held in the Bayfield County Jail pending further investigation.
No other details about the investigation were available this afternoon.
