A Superior man accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old has made an initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court.

Raymond James Myshack, 21, faces one count felony sexual assault of a child under 16 and one misdemeanor count of resisting an officer. Cash bail was set Friday at $2,000 with the condition Myshack have no contact with the alleged victim. A preliminary hearing is set for today.

According to the criminal complaint:

Myshack had sex with the teen more than 10 times over a few weeks. The girl told Officer Lynn Ristau that her mother was not aware they were having sex. People who lived with Myshack would get the teen from school and take her to Myshack's house to meet. The alleged victim said she was afraid of the defendant because he said he was going to have sex with her again even though he knew she was only 15 and he threatened to have someone hurt her.

When officers attempted to arrest Myshack, he kept trying to walk away, and when directed to the ground, he refused to roll over and resisted being handcuffed.
