The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community has announced a $1 million grant to the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
The money is for construction of a new health clinic, to replace one destroyed by fire. The Bad River band is in Ashland and Iron counties and has a membership of more than 7,000.
