Mary Moldenhauer, owner of Greystar Electronics Inc. in Duluth, will speak to the Study of First Nations Women class at 1 p.m. Thursday, in Old Main, room 105, at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Moldenhauer's appearance is open to the public.
A member of the Lac Courte Oreilles band of Ojibwe, Moldenhauer was named Minnesota's Minority Small Business Person of the Year in August by the U.S. Small Business Administration. She is the first Duluthian to win the award.
Moldenhauer launched Greystar 13 years ago with a staff of two. Today, the company makes components for tanks, jets, ships and Cirrus airplanes.
