MY PARENTS CHOSE THIS NAME BECAUSE: They hadn't decided upon a middle name for me when I was born (three weeks early). After finding out I needed surgery, they picked Valentina because it means "strong and healthy."

PARENTS' WISH OR ADVICE: You are a gift to us! We wish for you a life filled with joy, laughter, health, family and friends.

SOMETHING SPECIAL: Avery flew in a helicopter to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis so she could have life-saving surgery two days after she was born. Everything went well; she came home in a week and today is healthy and strong -- just like her middle name!
