An autopsy on Bruce James Madigan has been scheduled for early next week, said Dean Moland, a deputy with the St. Louis County Rescue Squad.

The 33-year-old Duluth man died in a swimming accident Friday night on Island Lake. Though most assume the cause of death was drowning, Moland said the reason for the autopsy is to make sure that was the cause.

During the autopsy, the medical examiner could also test to see if Madigan had been drinking at the time of his death.
