Local and state law enforcement officials on Friday afternoon asked for the public's help in locating a 75-year-old woman.
Katherine Bougalis was last seen leaving the Diamond Willow Memory Care Center in Grand Rapids with her grandson, Edward Swisher Jr., without her guardian's permission, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
The BCA is asking anyone with information about Bougalis to contact the Hibbing Police Department at (218) 742-9825 or the Grand Rapids Police Department at (218) 326-3464.
The BCA described Bougalis as white with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet tall and weighing 188 pounds.
Authorities said they believe she is traveling with her daughter, Joanne Bougalis, 52, in a red 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Minnesota license plate number 855RYL. Joanne Bougalis doesn't have permission to travel with Katherine and they both have ties to Hibbing, North Carolina and Arizona, according to the BCA.
