Authorities have identified the 27-year-old McGregor man who died in a single-vehicle crash in western Carlton County early today.
Derek Burg died in the crash that happened shortly after 1:35 a.m. on Minnesota Highway 73 at Mononen Road, about three miles south of Cromwell, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.
The Patrol said Burg was driving a southbound Chevrolet Silverado pickup that went across the northbound lanes, drove off the road and hit a tree.
Burg was not wearing a seat belt. The Patrol reported that it was not known if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
