The Carlton County Sheriff's Department is investigating a crime scene between Cromwell and Sawyer, where a man and woman were found dead, as an apparent result of murder.
The Carlton County 911 line received a report of a man found dead in a residence on Krogh Road in Red Clover Township at 2:55 p.m. Sunday. When Carlton County Sheriff's deputies arrived, they found an adult man and woman dead inside the home.
A statement from the sheriff's department said: "The deaths were suspicious in nature and are being treated as a homicide.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has been called in to assist with the investigation.
