Ashland residents are one step closer to being able to buy beer at local convenience stores.
The City Council's committee of the whole agreed on possible rule changes this week that would allow gas stations to sell beer. The committee also agreed that Ashland's Wal-Mart may qualify for a Class A alcohol license.
The City Council will vote on the proposed ordinance change at its July 13 meeting.
