Much of the area is under a dense fog advisory until 10 a.m.
According to the Duluth office of the National Weather Service, motorists can expect to encounter dense fog around Lake Superior, along the North Shore to Grand Portage and along I 35 to Moose Lake. Visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile.
