Duluth race car driver Tommy Archer didn't compete in the Sports Car Club of America's Speed GT Championship on Sunday at the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.
Archer, a former series champion who went into the season planning to race only a partial schedule, sat out as Randy Pobst of Gainesville, Ga., drove his Porsche 911 to victory, followed by Andy Pilgrim, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Brandon Davis of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Despite missing two races, Archer is seventh in the season point standings with two races remaining in the 10-race series.
