Another man sentenced after Douglas County cabin burglaries

The second of three men accused of breaking into numerous cabins and residences throughout Douglas County between November and May 10 was sentenced Wednesday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

The second of three men accused of breaking into numerous cabins and residences throughout Douglas County between November and May 10 was sentenced Wednesday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

Michael Mark Harden, 22, of Oakdale, Minn., pleaded guilty in September to felony criminal damage to property and burglary and a misdemeanor criminal damage to property, all as a party to the crime. Three additional counts of burglary as a party to the crime were dismissed but included for sentencing; three additional counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary and five misdemeanor counts of criminal damage to property, all as a party to the crime, were dismissed.

Harden was sentenced to five years' probation for the felony charges, with the condition that he pay court costs and $6,584.58 in restitution. On the misdemeanor count, he was sentenced to nine months jail with Huber work release granted. The sentence was identical to that of another man involved in the break-ins, Joshua Alan Lundy of Maple.

Lundy, 18, pleaded guilty to felony criminal damage to property, misdemeanor criminal damage to property and felony burglary, all as a party to the crime, in September. As an additional condition of his probation, Lundy had to testify against his co-defendants.

A third man accused of taking part in the burglaries, 19-year-old Adam L. Burhans of South Range, has a plea hearing scheduled for Nov. 16.
