The 17th annual Twin Ports Thanksgiving Buffet is expanding to locations in Cloquet and Two Harbors.

The annual event, sponsored by The College of St. Scholastica, expects to serve around 3,000 free turkey meals from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving at its original Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center location.

The new locations are at the Cloquet Armory, 801 Highway 33 South, and at Two Harbor's Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 227 Third St. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at each location, and event organizers expect to serve an additional 1,000 meals at the two locations combined.

In Cloquet the event is being coordinated by Salvation Army Captains Jen and Tim Gardner and Pastor Marli Danielson of the Presbyterian Church. Volunteers who can help set up on Wednesday and serve on Thanksgiving Day in Cloquet should call Volunteer Services of Carlton County at (218) 879-9238.

In Two Harbors, volunteers for Wednesday and/or Thursday should call Two Harbors coordinator Gerri Lampart at (218) 834-2972 in the daytime or (218) 834-2380 in the evening.

Homebound persons in Two Harbors and Cloquet can request a home-delivered meal by calling (218) 723-5913.
