Michael John Novak, 44, and his wife, Judith Lee Novak, 51, have been charged with felony possession of marijuana.
The Boundary Waters Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant of the Novaks' home at 8994 Highway 1 in Angora on Aug. 18 and found 34 marijuana plants totaling about six pounds.
Police waited until the marijuana dried and they could measure the amount before charging the couple, who will be summoned to appear in court, said Virginia Police Detective Dennis Benz, commander of the task force.
Angora is north of Virginia.
