The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency today removed a Duluth beach from the list of beaches where it advises people to avoid water contact.

Tests of waster samples Park Point's Southworth Marsh Beach show that fecal indicator bacteria levels and averages have returned to acceptable levels.

Southworth Marsh Beach is located on the harbor side of Park Point near 40th Street.

Anyone who becomes ill after contacting beach water should contact Amy Westbrook at the Minnesota Department of Health Duluth, 723-4907.
