A Minnesota State Patrol trooper from Duluth was injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday north of Sandstone.

Both the trooper, Michael Ronald Hagen, 53, and the driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at Essentia Health in Sandstone, according to the state patrol.

Hagen was traveling east on Minnesota Highway 23 and attempting to turn left onto the northbound Interstate 35 entrance ramp when he collided with a Ford F-250.

The driver of the truck was Ambur Marie Cady, 25, of Hinckley. The crash took place before 11 a.m. Friday.
