A Duluth woman died early Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Normanna Township.

St. Louis County sheriff's deputies responded at 6:56 a.m. to a report of a vehicle crash with injuries about 20 miles north of Duluth. When they arrived, they found the vehicle's single occupant, Kathryn Clark, ejected from the SUV, according to a news release from the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.

Clark was traveling east on Pioneer Road East when her SUV left the road and hit a driveway embankment. This caused her vehicle to launch into a tree.

After an initial investigation, authorities pronounced her dead at the scene, the release said.

Clark wasn't wearing a seat belt.
