One man and one woman were injured Saturday in separate ATV crashes near Orr, according to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office.
At about 4:30 p.m., deputies and emergency responders were dispatched after a report of a personal injury crash near Keyes Road west of U.S. Highway 53 in Unorganized Township 67R21, about 15 miles northwest of Orr.
Ashley Brubaker, 34, of Grand Rapids was in a group of seven ATV riders when she was ejected from her vehicle while attempting to swerve around an object that possibly had fallen off another ATV, the Sheriff's Office reported. Brubaker was taken by ambulance to Cook Hospital and then later to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
At about 6:05 p.m., deputies and emergency crews responded to a personal injury crash in Camp 5 Township, about 10 miles northeast of Orr.
Kelly Klander, 44, of Eveleth was ejected from his ATV after losing control of the vehicle while traveling southeast on County Road 180, according to the Sheriff's Office. He was taken by ambulance to Cook Hospital and then flown to St. Luke's hospital in Duluth. His injuries were not life-threatening.
