Woman injured in Koochiching County car crash
An International Falls woman sustained life-threatening injuries in a Koochiching County car crash Sunday afternoon.
At about 12:15 p.m. Sunday, a Chevy Silverado traveling west on Minnesota Highway 11, 25 miles west of International Falls, veered into the ditch, traveled several hundred feet and hit a culvert. The truck went airborne and rolled once before it struck several trees and came to a stop, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The passenger, Keysha Morene Pearson, 26, of International Falls, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center, where her condition was listed as serious on Monday morning.
The driver, Zachery Tyler Pearson, 29, of International Falls, was not injured in the crash.
Neither were wearing seatbelts, according to the State Patrol. Alcohol is not a factor.
