Autopsy ordered for person killed by train in Moorhead

MOORHEAD, Minn. — An autopsy has been ordered for the victim of a fatal pedestrian-train incident that happened in Moorhead on Monday, Nov. 5.

A person was hit by a train about 4:28 p.m. on tracks near the intersection of 14th Street and Main Avenue.

The train stopped after the incident and traffic in downtown Moorhead was affected for several hours.

Moorhead police said the remains of the victim have been sent to the Ramsey County (Minn.) Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy, but police have released no information regarding the victim's identity.
