Infant, others endure minor injuries in rollover outside Wrenshall
An infant and four others survived a rollover crash outside Wrenshall with minor injuries late Thursday.
The 2000 Ford Explorer had rolled in a ditch in Wrenshall Township, said the Minnesota State Patrol.
The vehicle was traveling south on a wet roadway on Carlton County Road 1. Approaching a T-intersection with Minnesota Highway 23, the driver failed to stop for the sign and overcorrected in an attempt to turn right.
Everyone in the vehicle was transported via ambulance with minor injuries to either St. Luke’s hospital in Duluth or Community Memorial Hospital in Cloquet, the State Patrol said.
Kimberly Crystal Considine, 26 of Cedar, Minn., was the driver of the vehicle. The infant male was from Mora. Passengers Jeremy Davis, 27 of St. Paul, and Cassandra Tye, 21 of Mora, were wearing seatbelts, while passenger Rhiannen Schoch, 22 of Mora, was not, the State Patrol said.
The crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. The Carlton County Sheriff’s Office, fire department and ambulance also responded to the scene. Cloquet ambulance was also involved.
