MINNEAPOLIS --  An explosion at a metal processing plant in Minneapolis on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 19, has seriously injured two workers.

The employees had “significant injuries” from the blast at Metal-Matic in southeast Minneapolis, said a news release from the Minneapolis Fire Department.

As of Wednesday night, Bryan Tyner with the department said there was no update on the condition of the workers who were taken to a local hospital or the cause of the explosion.
