CALEDONIA, Minn. -- A motorcyclist was killed near Caledonia in southeastern Minnesota last week when the man’s shirt became entangled in the braking mechanism, throwing him to his death.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, John Lars Huston, 66, of Wells, Minn., was southbound on Minnesota 76 shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday when the crash happened in Houston County.

The State Patrol says Huston’s shirt caught in the rear brake on the right side of the motorcycle, which caused the brake to lock up.

Huston died of his injuries at the La Crosse, Wis., hospital.
