Authorities on Tuesday identified the two central Wisconsin men who died in a snowmobile crash over the weekend in Price County in north-central Wisconsin.

The Price County Sheriff's Office reported that Adam Wolf, 33, of Spencer, and Garrett Peterson, 37, of Wausau, died late Saturday or early Sunday when the snowmobile they were riding collided with the shoreline of Long Lake, just west of Phillips.

They had left a property in the town of Elk and were heading toward Phillips, and were reported missing when they did not arrive. They were found about 90 minutes later, and pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Price County Coroner's Office.
