Absentee ballots now available for September Primary Election

Absentee ballots are available at the City Clerk's Office, Room 330, City Hall, for the State Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14. The office will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m.

Absentee ballots are available at the City Clerk's Office, Room 330, City Hall, for the State Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

The office will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Monday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Individuals voting by absentee ballot or on election day who are not already registered or need to change their address must, at the time of voting, present one of the following:

  • Valid Minnesota driver's license or learner's permit (or receipt for either showing correct address in precinct.
  • Valid Minnesota identification card (or receipt) showing correct address in precinct.
  • The oath of a registered voter in the same precinct who can couch for the person's residence.
  • College students may use a current student fee statement that contains the student's valid address in the precinct together with a picture identification card.
  • A bill for electric, natural gas, water, solid waste, telephone or cable television service with a due date within 30 days of election day that contains the voter's name and current address and one of the following that contains the voter's name and photograph: Minnesota driver's license or Minnesota ID card, U.S. passport, U.S. military ID card, or ID card of a post-secondary educational institution in Minnesota.
