Aarhus, Ward wedding

Angela Aarhus and Matthew Ward, both of Two Harbors, were married Sept. 1 in the Rose Garden at Leif Erikson Park in Duluth.

Her mother is Gloria Aarhus of Garden Grove, Calif. His parents are Dale Ward of Marengo, Ill., and Lannie Young of Johnsburg, Ill.

The bride chose her sisters, Beth Aarhus and Deborah Aarhus, as maids of honor. Isabelle Parry and Amanda Parry were flower girls.

The groom chose his cousin, James Sprole, as best man. Micah Overly was ring bearer.

The bride, a 1994 graduate of Orange (Calif.) High School, graduated from the University of California-Davis in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in zoology and from the University of Wisconsin-Steven's Point in 2002 with a master's degree in natural resources. She is a wildlife researchbiologist for 1854 Treaty Authority in Duluth.

The groom, a 1994 graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock, Ill., graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Steven's Point in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in aquatic biology and from South Dakota State University in Brookings in 2003 with a master's degree in fisheries management. He is a fisheries specialist for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources in Duluth.
