Six people were injured, one critically, in a three-car crash near Brainerd on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Toyota Corolla driven by Gregory Skoog, 65, of rural Brainerd was stopped northbound on Minnesota Highway 25 shortly before 1 p.m., waiting to turn left into his driveway. A northbound Audi Quattro driven by Isaiah Schuety, 32, of Brainerd did not stop, rear-ended Skoog's car and went into the ditch.

Skoog's vehicle spun around and came to rest in the southbound lane, where it was struck by a southbound Chevrolet Malibu driven by Leroy Hamann, 78, of Wadena, Minn.

Skoog suffered critical injuries and was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn., the Patrol reported. His wife, Nancy Skoog, 63, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

Hamann and his wife, Lois Hamann, 75, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Brainerd hospital. Schuety and his 10-year-old son, Trevor, were treated and released in Brainerd.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt.
