Beginning Monday, April 6, the Duluth News Tribune will begin printing and delivering a single-section, 12-page newspaper Mondays through Saturdays, dedicated mainly to local content.

This is in response to the unprecedented impact COVID-19 is having on the local, state, and national economies and the newspaper industry. But readers will still be able to receive all of the news published by the News Tribune every day.

The daily e-edition, which is a digital replica of the printed newspaper, will include several pages in addition to those in print. Both print and digital subscribers receive access to the e-editions, all of the News Tribune’s digital content and access to all content from Forum Communications Company’s other publications.

Both the print and e-editions will include comics and games, as well as the weather and TV grids.

Digital subscribers can access the e-edition by logging into their accounts at and clicking on “E-Paper” on the top right corner. If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, you can find the e-edition by opening the menu on the top left corner and touching “E-Paper.”

If you are a print subscriber, you’ll have to activate your online account first.

To activate your online account, go to and click on the "Activate Now" button. Register by entering your email address and create a password to use with your account. Then check the appropriate boxes, verify you aren’t a robot and click "Register."

From there you must enter the first and last name of the person listed on the account as well as the delivery address so the News Tribune can locate your account and activate your membership. After you fill out the fields, click “Looks good” and enjoy our online benefits. You can log in to your account on multiple devices.

If your husband, wife, partner or whoever else you live with would like to have their own login information, they can follow the same steps on their smartphone, tablet or computer by entering their own email address and creating their own password. Just be sure they enter the same account information — first and last name and delivery address listed on the account — to activate their own online account.
