DICKINSON, N.D. -- Two men were arrested near Dickinson on Saturday after authorities allegedly discovered more than 50 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Arturas Teras, 29, of Van Nuys, Calif., and Donatas Jasiulionis, 35, of Seattle were charged Monday with felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. A district judge set bond for both men at $50,000 cash at their bond hearings Monday.

Rhonda Ehlis, Stark County assistant state's attorney, recommended the bond be set at that amount, partly because the men live out of state.

The Highway Patrol said in a news release that a drug-sniffing dog alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle after a traffic stop on Interstate 94 near Dickinson.

Numerous heat-sealed bags of marijuana were allegedly discovered, according to the release.
